Design of simple stellarator using tilted toroidal field coils

This paper deals with the design of stellarator field simple coil set. In order to realize by set, tilted toroidal coils are used for creating rotational transform. Sixteen TF create small radial and large vertical field. If axisymmetric poloidal can compensate larger coils, be realized. The formation clear nested flux surfaces is confirmed, transform proportional tilting angle coil. main features magnetic in this mirror ripple helical ripple. a similar property quasi-isodynamic configuration like Wendelstein 7-X stellarator. collisionless orbit proton studied. For moderate coil, confinement passing trapped particles improves.
